Affordable Florida Health Insurance --

One of the main benefits of the health care reform will be that health insurance companies will no longer be able to able to deny coverage on the basis of pre existing condition. It will be four years before this law comes into effect but the federal government is already requesting the health insurance companies to start immediately. Also the health insurance companies will no longer be able to drop people from their plans if they happen to fall it.

Health insurance companies are known to drop their customers when they fall ill and more so if the illness are every expensive to treat and the reason cited is paperwork or enrollment forms. This apparently is so widespread that it is no longer considered shocking.

Lot of fuss has been made regarding the health insurance exchanges mostly because the principles on which they operate have not been well understood. Very few states have a operating health exchange and they have not had a huge outreach program. Here is how the health insurance exchanges will work.

Following people will qualify for Medicaid ? adults earning 133% of the federal poverty base or about $14,000 for a single adult and about $88,000 for a family. About 24 million Americans who are about this level will be able to buy health insurance through the exchanges. People who will be earning up to 400% of the poverty level will be able to get help the federal government in form of subsidies.
