Define: "Non-Participating Provider":

A non-participating provider is a medical/professional provider who has not agreed to accept an established fee for the services he or she renders.

More Examples of Non-Participating Provider:

A provider that has not contracted with a health plan to provide health care services to covered persons. Generally health care benefits are reduced when a non-participating provider is utilized.
