Blue Cross Grant offer Health Insurance Grants
The Blue Foundation for a Healthy Florida has decided to grant three organizations in central Florida with nearly $800,000 to support community health insurance programs. The Orange County Health Department will be receiving $100,000 to support uninsured black women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine will receive nearly $50,000 for unsinsured women in Polk County. Safehouse of Seminole will receive over $10,000 to help domestic violence victims. Eight non profit organizations in other Florida counties will also receive grant money from the foundation. How much of a difference will these grants make to people in the community?
