One of the motivations behind the development of no-fault automobile coverage was to eliminate delays in the payment of medical benefits due to disputes over liability. Delays could cause a problem for a victim of an auto accident that suffered severe injuries, as medically relevant decisions would need to be made based on the cost of treatment.

Florida auto insurance has a no-fault component that attaches to the personal injury protection of your policy. The personal injury protection section of an auto policy is designed to pay for medical bills associated with an auto accident. This section of the policy will not cover other damages such as pain and suffering. The bodily injury liability component of the policy was designed for those types of damages.

When a state utilizes a no-fault concept for injury claims, there are usually a handful of methods that state can use to allow for payments under the program for medical bills without fault, but allow damages to be paid in instances of severe injury for pain and suffering. Various injury thresholds evolved among the states and in Florida, this threshold is described as a qualitative threshold. In this model, the injuries sustained must fill a certain descriptive requirement before the victim is allowed to make a claim in tort against the driver that caused the accident. This threshold is often referred to as the “tort threshold” and in Florida, this means that the injury must result in one of the following:

(a) Significant and permanent loss of an important bodily function

(b) Permanent injury within a reasonable degree of medical probability

(c) Significant and permanent scarring or disfigurement.

If the injuries meet one of the above noted thresholds, then the victim is in a position to collect damages from the at-fault driver for pain and suffering, lost wages, or even loss of consortium. These thresholds are by design somewhat vague and left to interpretation by a medical professional. For those who are injured in a state that subscribes to a no-fault insurance plan, it is of great importance to learn what the thresholds are.

Jacksonville, Florida — Some important features of whole life insurance policies

Whole life insurance is a type of term life insurance coverage for your entire life and not for a particular period like permanent life insurance. You just need to keep on making the premium payments on time.

With cash value accumulation and level premium, whole life insurance is a good option for long term goals. The assured cash values can offer money in future to assist with short term needs or contingencies.

Whole life insurance features

Premiums usually are level and to be paid for life: As whole life insurance premiums are level premiums, the younger you are while buying a whole life policy, the cheaper the yearly premiums would be.

Whole life policies are also available from insurers that come with smaller premium payment periods like 15 years or a one-time premium payment.

Assured cash values: Whole life insurance is not similar to term life insurance, which doesn’t accumulate cash value. A part of your premium that you pay into your whole life insurance policy is accumulated as guaranteed cash value. If you opt to terminate the policy, these cash values would be given to you. On the other hand, throughout the period for which the policy is in effect, you might take out a loan against these cash values as a policy loan at the existing policy loan interest rate.

The guaranteed cash value amount is dependent on the type of whole life policy you have in place, size of the policy and number of years you have had it. The increase in cash values is tax deferred according to the existing federal income tax regulations. The amount that you borrow lowers the cash surrender value and death benefit.

Dividends

Whole life policies can receive dividends. Dividends are produced when the actual life insurance costs become less than what was presumed in fixing the premiums. When this occurs, the insurance company might return a part of your insurance premium as dividend to you. Dividends are not assured as you don’t have any idea about the actual costs beforehand. Check out more information on Miami Health Insurance today!

They were carrying signs and delivering speeches publicizing objections to the proposed reforms. The doctors and nurses warned that the bill being discussed in the Senate this week would significantly change the relationship between Doctors and their patients. Dr. Yvonne Sherrer a rheumatologist from Fort Lauderdale, Fl protests that the bill would further restrict how doctors can treat patients. The Senate bill also suggests the development of new patient care models, which is a very intense topic of contention for the large group of conservative doctors and nurses. The doctors criticized this bill as a takeover by the federal government. What is your opinion? Do you side with the conservative physicians? Are the feds taking over our health care?

Miami Beach, Florida — Buying something before you know what you are getting is a quick way to find yourself in trouble. This is definitely true with a Florida health insurance policy. You have to look over all details of a policy before buying. If you do not do this you are increasing your risk by quite a bit. Are you comfortable with this?

The way you look over a Florida health insurance does not have to be advanced. In fact, it can be as simple as checking over every last detail to ensure that you understand them all. Don’t let anybody tell you that you need to be a Florida health insurance professional to know what is what. Any consumer can learn a lot about the policy they are getting by reading over the details and considering what they are and whether or not they will work.

Of course, a professional such as a Florida health insurance broker can really help you with this. If you decide to hire a broker he can look over the policy with you, give you any advice that will help, and then let you take things from that point on. Even though you do not necessarily need professional help, there is nothing wrong with getting it.

Before buying you need to look over the Florida health insurance policy that you are interested in. This will give you all the knowledge you need to decide on your next step – which is hopefully making a purchase.

Those insured through commercial and public health insurance plans has slipped. The trend in healthcare quality provided to those with private health insurance as well as in Medicare and Medicaid was practically dormant in 2008. One cause has been because employers and health care plans have taken their eye off of quality and are focusing on cutting down on costs. Do you agree that the quality of care has been put on the back burner by insurance companies and employers to help cut costs? What effect will this have on future generations?

This is the first time the yearly survey has asked about health care. The survey also attempted to gauge whether home foreclosures and rising unemployment are forcing children, parents and grandparents to live together under the same roof. In Florida, there are more than 250,000 multigenerational households. The most recent census numbers confirm what state demographers concluded earlier this year: The recession is not only inhibiting the growth of Florida but is also sending people packing for other states. Do you agree that the majority of Floridians are without health insurance and due to the economic downfall it is forcing people to live in different states?

A liberal political group is rallying tonight in Sarasota Florida trying to reclaim the public’s favor in the health insurance reform debate. This group is in favor of the proposed health care reform. They support President Obama’s ideas about a government health insurance system. The liberal group believes that if we as Americans are silent and do not stand up for this reform then it will certainly fail. The general public support for the reform has slipped since the debate heated up in June of this year. The Floridian liberal group is trying to increase the support for the proposed reform as well as educate citizens about the benefits of the new system. Are you in favor of the proposed reform?

You have seen it displayed on television lately the yelling, the frustration, the sign waving and the bad mouthing that have erupted in town halls all over the United States due to President Obama’s proposed change to the nation’s health insurance system. Now Floridians will get a chance to witness it in person and voice their opinion. Beginning tonight U.S. Rep Tom Tequesta will discuss his thoughts on the health reform tonight in Stuart. Followed by U.S. Rep Klein in Boynton Beach in which he will address the homeowner insurance issues. This is off the subject from the health reform but is an issue that will come up. Finally U.S. Rep Robert Wexler will speak in Boca Raton to an assembly of retirees. They will be discussing the proposed plan that everyone is required to have health insurance and the issues surround the heated topic. What do you think will Floridians voice their honest opinion about the proposed health insurance changes?
