Florida Health Insurance Governor Crist On Health Care

Many Florida residents are starting to wonder who will win the senate race, Republican Rubio, or incumbent Mr. Charlie Crist who just jumped ship to become an independent. They seem to run I the same crowd when it comes to politics and health insurance reform, but who is to truly understand what is going on between these two candidates. A journalist for the Florida Seminal, Jim White recently said that Charlie vetoed a part of the health insurance reform bill that would take away nearly $9 million dollars for the uninsured residents of the sunshine state. There was a great deal of speculation regarding the clause that would enable insurance carriers to decline coverage for all of the people who really need it. Most believe that this was a strictly political move to enable Charlie to obtain some of the votes that would normally be taken by the right wing. Are you happy with Florida health insurance reform thus far?
There was a new West Palm Beach, Florida article that showed nearly 30% of Florida residents that are under the age of 65 (Medicare) are simply not purchasing health insurance. You do now that nearly 25% of the non-elderly are unable to get quality treatment for disease. One would that that the way to win this election in Florida would be to protect and show compassion for the residents. It doesn’t seem like it is moving in that direction during this election. In Gainesville, the Sun recently said how this is going to have a huge impact on business at Florida hospitals like University of Florida Shands. They are said to be the only hospital in the state that takes patients from every Florida county. It seems like higher end facilities like they Mayo Clinic do something of an opposing direction. You might see quality hospitals like UF Shands get burned by as much as $15 million dollars. That unearned income most likely will arrive from the federal level to help alleviate the situation. None the less, this Charlie Crist veto could place new limits on who is able to receive quality treatment at Shands and other hospitals across Florida.
Tying to make things happen by cutting corners is not the path to take. Many might see Charlie Crist voting politico, rather than for his citizens to save himself. All Florida residents do know that if Crist continues to work in this state, all Floridians will be paying for his health insurance program whether they want to or not.
