Florida Hospice Care Needs HELP

As the budget is tightened and Florida legislators look at ways to make cuts, Florida hospice care looks like it may be on the chopping block. Hospice services provided to terminally ill Floridians often allows them to spend their final days in a comfortable, familiar setting with caring staff, and not in a cold, crowded hospital room. Besides that, experts fear that cutting the budget for these hospice services will place more of a burden on emergency rooms and other intensive care units. Experts are currently working toward making hospice care a mandatory part of Medicare so that it will not be subject to budget cuts in the future. What are your thoughts on the necessity of hospice care?
