Florida to See New Health Insurance Law

Florida Governor Charlie Crist has made a promise to former Miami Heat star player that he will not only pass a law offering new hope for kidney transplant patients, but he will name the law in honor of him. The Alonzo Mourning Access to Care Act would allow patients under 65 with end-stage renal disease obtain Medigap insurance if they are already qualified for Medicare. Mourning has madeĀ Florida health insurance his passion ever since he required a kidney transplant to save his life a few years ago. The law would allow people to carry the second type of coverage which is required to be on the waiting list for a kidney. How much has the work of Mourning impacted this cause?
