Growing Numbers of Older Citizens Without Health Insurance
Florida is seeing dangerously high numbers of citizens without health insurance, both working and nonworking. Florida is well known for two things, its aging population and its great number of small businesses and service based industries. The problem is that many of these small companies and low paying jobs do not offer a group health insurance plan, and so a great segment of the population aged 50-65 are finding themselves without coverage. It is a difficult time for many, who are just shy of qualifying for Medicare, but have difficulty holding a job which offers traditional health insurance benefits. Many are retired, and working a part time job which does not offer coverage. What needs to be done to prevent financial disaster among the aging Floridians who don’t yet qualify for Medicare?

The first step in buying Florida health insurance is assessing your situation and what is going on around you. Do you need to buy new Florida health insurance because your group policy is long gone? Maybe you have to purchase for more than one person, such as a child or spouse. Your situation does not matter as much as knowing what it is. You can more than likely find a Florida health insurance policy to match any position you may currently be in.
