Health Care Available to Florida Veterans
With rising health care cost, many seniors may be eligible for health care, but not even know it. Previously, benefits were only available to career military veterans. Today, however, the requirements have changed. Florida’s Veterans who served full time in any branch of the military, provided that were not dishonorably discharged, are eligible for health care through U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. Veterans will be given a priority score based on a number of variables, and this score determines the level of assistance they are offered. Why aren’t more Veteran seniors aware of the availability of this program?
