Joe Biden Works the Blue Collar Angle in Florida

Joe Biden is seen as the Democratic’s best hope for garnering the blue collar vote in typically Republican dominated states such as Florida. Playing up his roots as a working class Roman Catholic with strong family ties, Biden traveled across Ohio and Indiana, and later to Florida. Speaking in Daytona, he sympathized with the fears of single working mothers and fathers as he recalled his struggle to raise his two sons after losing his wife and baby girl in 1972.  Focusing on issues of health care and the economy, Biden promised not to forget what it felt like to be in that situation. While Biden’s rallies are tremendously smaller than Obama’s, do you think he has enough appeal to the working class to win over these Republican dominated states?
