Insurance companies do not affect the "quality" of health care. Employers are offering less benefit rich plans to their employees to reduce costs This is sometimes done to keep employees on the payroll and not lay them off. This is not an issue with generational effects. It is a symptom of an uncertain economic outlook and the current economic downturn. Adding massive national debt for national health insurance to our already bankrupt nation is a generational issue and can only be paid for through higher taxation on everyone.
