Florida Health Insurance And Depression

Florida Insurance Agent Mr. Steve Newman had suffered major depression for so long that he felt suicide might be in his near future. As other methods of controlling the disorder failed to bring relief, Newman faced two last options. One being shock therapy, which can cause as much harm as good, and the other, an experimental new treatment using magnets. As sci-fi ridiculous as this sounded, Mr. Newman was desperate for a solution to ease his suffering and not cause brain damage. Quiting his job in Florida and moving to Pennsylvania to join a research study, he awoke several weeks later to find his depression was gone. The FDA has now even approved it as a legitimate form of treatment for a number of disorders. Do you think there is validity in these treatments, or is it just a placebo effect? Will these types of treatments be covered under traditional insurance plans now or in the future, or will they never be taken that seriously? What type health insurance policy covers depression with out exclusion in Florida? What medications are associated with this? Let us know what you think.

I think all types of depression should be covered on your health policy. Why else would you have health insurance in this day and age. Everyone has depression.
