It is that time of year again.  All of you self-employed Florida residents can sign up this month for health care coverage through insurers and health-maintenance organizations that offer small-group policies. This only happens once a year.  Policies must be applied for in August and are effective for Oct. 1, 2008.  Make sure you don’t let this opportunity pass you…Florida law provides for the annual sign-up to make sure the self-employed can get health insurance.  Do you think the Florida open enrollment system works well?  Let me know what you think.
