The rate at which citizens are losing their health insurance in Florida is so rapid that is is only being outpaced by California and New York. The Center for American Progress released a study last month showing that a frightening number of Floridians were losing their health insurance, roughly 850 every day. While the Cover Florida Plans, designed by Charlie Crist in conjuntion with several private insurance companies, are intended to help many of these people acquire affordable coverage without being forced to relay on taxpayer dollars, do they really do enough? Or are they falling short?
