Health Insurance & Pharmicists

In an age where our primary care physicians are overburdened and often have to treat patients as though they were on an assembly line, patients are looking elsewhere for counseling and advice. For Dorothy Jones, the advice came in the form of her pharmacist Jeffrey Brewer. Part pharmacist, and part coach, Brewer was able to do what Jones’ doctor could not, effectively counsel her on understanding her diabetes and address the issues that were causing her the biggest problems. Will this be the new standard of practice? Once our doctors prescribe us a medication, leave our pharmacist to help us live with it and understand why?
