Privacy in Hospitals

West Florida Hospital proudly announced recently that they are the only hospital in Northwest Florida to offer private rooms to all of its patients. Most people would not consider sharing a room in a hotel, so why should they want to share a hospital room when they are in need of peace and rest? West Florida feels that offering this feature at no additional charge puts it ahead of the rest. In addition to providing privacy, the rooms reduce the incident of illness, reduce stress, and encourage a quiet environment in which people can recover. Do you think more hospitals will follow this progressive trend, or is it too cost prohibitive for most?
