More than 100 protesters tackled staffers of United States Representative Ron Klein in Broward county Florida on Wednesday. They were expressing their unhappiness and disapproval with the health care overhaul bills. This incident will not be the last as the debate heats up. Democrats complain about what they describe as a mob rule arranged by special interest trying to defend the status quo. The Republicans refer to it as a legitimate concern over an expensive government take over.  The group was disruptive, offensive and fired up about health care and health insurance. Who do you agree with, the Republican’s or the Democrats?

   First of all it is irrelevant if these protest were ochestrated. Secondly the Dems are attmpting damage control SPIN. Thirdly there is no coherent health reform package (with the possible exception of House Bill 3200) in front of the American people. But if HB 3200 is it then there is wide-spread outrage at this stipping of their freedom of choice and to its being an obvious Trojan Horse to a single-payor system and being rushed thru as a power grab and MOST IMPORTANTLY no way to pay for it.

   Simply put people are fired up and increasingly fed up with this current administrations agenda and tactics.

   You are very, very wrong to cast this as a Democrat v Republican issue. There are many facets to the anger you hear being expressed at these meetings, not the least of which is the issue of honesty in government. There are many of us in both parties who simply don’t believe we are being told the truth by proponents of health care “reform.”

   The administration says “If you like your insurance you will be able to keep your insurance” in responding to question from the public today. It is just a little bit difficult to accept this at face value when in the past, the President has repeatedly stated that he wants the government eventually to be the sole source of health insurance, but that it will take time to reach that goal because “we can’t do it all at once” without overwhelming resistance.

   We wonder why the administration insisted reform be adopted prior to the summer recess, when nothing in the House Bill would take effect until 2013. Could it be that as a political reality, Congress knew it could only approve a bill natuionalizing health care before any of us knew what was in it?
